Terms of Service

What these cover
These terms apply to this website and to the waitlist. They do not cover the Soredemo application, because it has not been released. When it is, it will come with its own licence, and that licence — not this page — will govern it.
By using this site, you agree to what follows. If you do not, don't use it.
The product is not available
Soredemo is in development. There is no download, no purchase, no trial, and no account. Everything this site describes is intended functionality, not shipped functionality. Features may change, be delayed, or be dropped entirely, and no date on this site is a commitment. Nothing here is an offer, a contract, or a promise that the product will be released at all.
Illustrations on this site are drawings of a specified interface. They are labelled as such, and they are not screenshots of working software.
The waitlist
Submitting the form asks us to email you when the recorder ships and when the release loop does. Submit an address you control. You can leave at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send. Joining the waitlist does not reserve, guarantee, or entitle you to access, a price, or a place in any queue.
How that address is handled is set out in our Privacy Policy.
Using the site
Please don't:
- attack, overload, probe, or attempt to break the site or its endpoints
- submit addresses that are not yours, or automate submissions
- scrape the site in a way that degrades it for anyone else
- use it to do anything unlawful
What belongs to whom
The Soredemo name, the logo, the wordmark, the copy, the design and the source of this site belong to Jesse Liang. The repository is private and no licence has been chosen for it — until one is added, no licence is granted, and you may not copy, redistribute, or make derivative works of any of it.
Reading the site, quoting a reasonable extract with attribution, and linking to it are all fine.
Links elsewhere
This site links to places we do not run, such as GitHub. We are not responsible for them, and a link is not an endorsement.
No warranty
The site is provided as it is, with no warranty of any kind. We do not promise it will be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or that anything on it is accurate or current — much of it describes software that does not exist yet.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of this site, or from relying on anything described on it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death, personal injury, or fraud.
Changes
We may revise these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and continuing to use the site after that means you accept the revision.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan. Any dispute arising from them, or from your use of this site, goes to the Taipei District Court as the court of first instance.
If you are a consumer living somewhere else, that does not take away rights your own law gives you which cannot be signed away, including the right to bring a claim in your local courts where that law provides one.
